Band
Music from the Baroque period to Contemporary Music, as well as 'big band' and the popular music of today is performed by the marching and the concert and jazz bands. Varied activities of football games, marching band contests, parades, trips, county, district and regional events, as well as public performances, all provide the interested student with many opportunities to be a vital part of the school community. Membership in the Big Blue Band is determined by yearly audition. Marching and jazz band will require rehearsals outside of the framework of the school day.
Band Front & Winter Indoor Guard Units
The senior high school band front and winter indoor units emphasize the precise and accurate execution of drill routine to and/or with music. The performances of the ensembles strive to be both musically inspiring and visually effective. The goal of the students in these groups is perfection. The performances include football games, competitions, parades, and other public appearances. Membership in these units is determined by auditions. Band front and winter indoor units will require rehearsals outside of the framework of the school day.
