{Me at the field-trip fossil pit}
Me at the fossil-pit during the 2010 field-study

Welcome to Earth and Space Science!!

I’m Mrs. Cassel and I am here to help you in any way I can throughout the year.  I am originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan which means they call me a YOOPER.  I like to spend most of my time outside biking, hiking, camping, running, fossil digging, etc.

I graduated from Miami of Ohio in 1989 with a Fine Arts Degree, but then went on to Millersville University to obtain my teaching degree in ’93.  I have since earned my Masters Degree through LVC. As of '09 I am Nationally Certified by earning my National teacher certification.  My husband also teaches here as a Biology teacher and I have two children, Elliot and Avery, who you will hear me talking about not to mention our our beagle “Pepper” and six rabbits and two chickens.

To navigate through this website, please use the links found on the left side of this page. They will help you get directly to where you want to go. This site is meant to help you if you have questions at home, however, I may not always be able to keep it up-to-date. I suggest you write down all assignments in your agenda book throughout the year to help keep you on top of due-dates.

This year you will be studying three major topics: Geology, Astronomy, and Meteorology. You will be learning about these topics in that order. To find out more information about the class schedule, you may click on "Syllabus".
