Curriculum Guide
Course Title: Athletic First Aid Subject: Health & Physical Education Grade Level(s): 9-12 Synopsis of CurriculumKnowing what to do for a simple fracture, nose bleeds, blisters, and other common injuries is a necessity for all those participating or assisting with an athletic program. With the use of the new multi-media American Heart Association system, students will receive certification in CPR and First Aid. In addition to this, students will also receive instruction in techniques of athletic training.

Body Systems-Skeletal, Muscular, Cardiac
Injuries- Athletic Training Introduction, Athletic Injuries, Athletic Taping, Emergency Care, AHA Certification, MRSA, Concussions
