HACC College in the High School/Dual EnrollmentAt Lower Dauphin High School, during the regular school day, we have college courses for ambitious and talented high school juniors and seniors. There is a one-time ever HACC application fee of approximately $35 and a cost of approximately $90 per course. Students are responsible for acquiring the required book(s). Supplemental material will be available for free. Each course is worth 3 college credits (see where they transfer at: http://www.hacc.edu/studentservices/transferservices/index.cfm) and .5 elective credit at LDHS. The GPA weight is the same as an AP course. Contact your counselor, Mr. Chortanoff, or Mr. James with questions. In the history courses, there will be an emphasis on research, critical thinking, analytical reading, and college-level writing. Expert speakers, artifacts, and field trips may be available as well.
