Thank you for visiting South Hanover Elementary School's home on the world wide web. We hope you enjoy your virtual visit to our school!
As I assume the helm of our school this year, I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I have been part of the administrative team at the high school for the past two years - as Dean of Students and as Assistant Principal. Prior to that, I taught social studies in the high school and also at Middletown Area High School and Northern Lebanon High School. I also coached football and baseball as well as served as advisor for various student organizations in those schools.
In that time as an administrator, teacher and coach, my educational philosophy has always been to treat all students as if they were my own children.
At South Hanover Elementary School we are blessed to have a dedicated staff of 28 faculty members and 19 support staff teamed up with an active and involved PTO. Working together, I am confident that our 370 students in grades K-5 will attain all of their educational goals. We are proud of all of our students and as you browse through our pages on this web site, I'm sure you'll see why.
Our school is located in the historic village of Union Deposit in South Hanover Township. Much of the township is still rather rural, but we have several new housing developments. The spread-out nature of the township and the fact that many newcomers are coming to live in South Hanover makes the school an important part of the community. We are the place where people come together and get to know each other better. We are proud of this role and strive to be the focal point of the South Hanover community.
