• A Message for Families (April 17th):

    Hello East Hanover Families,

As we finish a week of distance learning, I wanted to reach out and say a huge THANK YOU for all the hard work you’ve been putting forth into the students’ instructional plans.

I understand that with everything being new for the students, teachers and families things can be tough at first, but I would like to say thank you for sticking through it and being so supportive.

We are hoping that as we all get more accustomed to our new routines, everything becomes a little easier for everyone.  We don’t want anyone to feel overwhelmed or stressed out so if there is anything I can do to help or any feedback you’d like to provide for me, I’d greatly appreciate it.  You can either send me an email (ladams@ldsd.org) or call and leave a message at school 717-469-2686 (after the message there is an option to leave a message on my extension) and I will get back to you.

Thank you for all you are doing.  I hope you and your families are staying safe and well.

    Video Conferencing Guidelines for Parents

Even though your student is at home, school norms still apply.

It is recommended that your child select a quiet but public room, free of distractions.

Please make sure that everyone in your house knows that your child will be in a video conference.

Your child has the option to turn off their video if that makes them more comfortable. If your child’s video is on, remind your child that they are visible.  It is just like a classroom. Assume that others can see them ALL the time.

Please keep the audio muted unless they are speaking.

Remember appropriate dress is expected, as in school.

Be aware of your surroundings. Make adjustments where necessary to maintain privacy.
