    Synopsis of Curriculum

    The seventh and eighth grade Art 1 course is one semester. Students are empowered to think independently and make personally meaningful artwork through idea development, creating, presenting, responding and connecting.

    • Materials, techniques and tools are demonstrated, practiced and documented by creating a series of artworks.
    • Additional materials, techniques and skills are developed through creation of original artworks, as well as research and teacher instruction.
