Welcome to School Counseling at South Hanover

School Counselors design, implement, and maintain a program that focuses on the personal/social, academic and career development of ALL Lower Dauphin Students in collaboration with parents, school staff, and the Lower Dauphin community.

Elementary school counselors are specialists who serve students in grades K-5 through individual, group and classroom services that are provided to aid students in making appropriate choices, setting goals and meeting life's challenges.  The school counselor focuses on the prevention of at-risk behaviors, fostering resiliency, and the application of developmental principles.
