I have been teaching art since 2000. I have a passion for art and teaching. At home, my husband and I live in Palmyra along with our three children and our little dog. I am thankful every day that I am so blessed with my family, home, job and fantastic students.
My goal in teaching is to teach all of the students that art is a visual language. Art is more than just a pretty picture. I strive to help every child achieve, no matter their level of artistic talent. My students learn that through creating art, they learn to be sufficient and creative problem solvers. Here, in the elementary level, the main goal is to achieve a strong artistic vocabulary and understanding of the Elements of Art. As much as I can, I pull in core curriculum content in order to help the students to be successful in their core classes as well.
I always look forward to working with the students and creating fun, yet educational, art projects.
