Hello to all you couped up Kiddo's out there itching to have some FUN and make some really cool stuff at home! I've put together 3 ideas and their YouTube Links so you can have a crack at trying to make these 3 really cool projects. The first is a Rubber band Powered Plane, the second is a Flying Cup and the third is a Cardboard Robot Arm!
Give one a try, remember, flexibility and creativity is key if you don't have all the supplies to get started. Once completed, please send me an email to blopatic@ldsd.org and let me know how it worked out and if you can, send a pic or short video!
I hope you all are healthy, making the most of this time off school and best of all, I hope you are trying new things like the above projects to build your skills, stay creative and not veg out too much!
Until we return to school,
Mr. Lopatic
How to Make a Very Easy Rubber Band Powered Airplane ...just like our Tech Ed Level 2 plane!! :
This is 100% hand built, unlike ours where we actually have pre-purchased propellers. Tissue paper, just like you use to place in gift bags, etc. works equally as well for the wings. I wouldn’t recommend launching it indoors and crashing into the wall like this guy does! It is a pile of work, so I’d hate to see it break on the 1st flight. Be careful while carving with a sharp blade, GET YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION and guidance please.
If you build one, email me at blopatic@ldsd.org and let me know how the process and the flight went! Include a picture if you can! Here is the Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz_hg-pSDew
How about making a Flying Cup?......
Say what? A Flying Cup!! Sounds Crazy, but give it a try!
