• -EMPLOYEE CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS & DIRECTIONS-

    Dear Employee,

Welcome! As of 2015 Pennyslvania State law requires all employees to have the following clearances, before being allowed to work:

    • State Police Criminal History Record – Act 34 (Dated within the last 5 years)
    • Federal Criminal History Background Check – Act 114 (Dated within the last 5 years)
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance – Act 151 (Dated within the last 5 years)
    • Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse 3 Hour Training - Act 126 (Dated within the last 5 years)

We can accept clearances that were obtained for previous employment as long as they are dated within the last five years. Knowing this can be a confusing process, we have put together this information to help make things a little easier to understand.

Thank you in advance for the dedication you will show to our students and district!

    • To register for the course, participants must log into the SAS PD center http://pdc.pdesas.org/and then click on “Course Catalog/Registration” under the menu button in the upper right hand corner of the screen. The course is listed under the “Self-paced” tab.

This is a very simple process and you can stop watching and pick it back up another time as long as you use the same computer. There is a test at the end. However, it only gives you two answers to choose and if you choose the wrong one it just has you select the other answer.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this. If you have any technical questions you can call the PDE SAS Help Line 1-877-973-3727.
