Hello there! I am a 4th grade teacher at Nye Elementary! This is my second year at Lower Dauphin School District, but my first year in 4th grade. It is going to be a wonderful year!! I am so excited to grow our skills together!
About me:
I am originally from a small town in western Pennsylvania called Home, PA. It is a real place, I promise! I graduated from high school in 2015, and went on to college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Go hawks! I graduated in 2019 and received a dual certification Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I am currently enrolled in my Master's degree for Mathematics Education! To start my teaching career, I became a long-term substitute teacher in my home school district in the 2019-2020 school year. My husband and I moved to the Hummelstown area, and I started teaching as an online English as a second language (ESL) teacher to students learning English in other countries. I joined Nye in the 2021-22 school year as the learning support teacher for fourth and fifth grade. I loved fourth grade so much, and I am now fortunate enough to call fourth grade my "home"!
I recently got married in June of 2022, and I currently live with my husband and our two fur babies, Kodiak and Kona, in the Hummelstown area!
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, shopping, spending time outside, watching Pittsburgh Penguins hockey, playing with my pets, and spending time with friends and family.
