Students come to the Student Assistance Program in different ways. While some are referred by teachers and other school personnel, it is not unusual for a student to refer him/herself, be referred by a friend or by his/her parents.
Trust your feelings. If you sense that something is wrong, it probably is. If you have a concern for the physical and/or emotional well-being of a student, contact anyone on the team or stop into the school nurse's office or the school counseling office to make a referral.
