Hello! My name is Mrs. Streckewald (or Mrs. S) and this is my 18th year teaching at Lower Dauphin. I received my bachelors from Saint Francis University in Elementary and Special Education. I completed my masters in Literacy Education from Penn State Harrisburg and a K-8 Science and Mathematics Masters from Slippery Rock University. (I love learning!)
I live with my husband (Mr. S) and my sweet twin boys who are now 4th graders and my brand new kindergartener! They are very curious and love books, science, camping, all things Lego, and superheroes!
I also have a cute old dog, Mr. Baja. He’s very lazy and gets into trouble. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hockey, gardening, camping, fishing, cooking, board games, video games, and reading (of course)! My favorite books are science, history, math and fantasy books. I also have loved reading comic books and graphic novels since I was little. I am also a huge Star Wars fan and superhero fan.
I am so excited about teaching and I love making learning fun! My goal is to get your child to love school and become a motivated reader, writer, scientist, and mathematician.
I look forward to working with you to provide the best possible school experience for your child. If you have any questions or just want to chat about school, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached through my school email, kstreckewald@ldsd.org or by calling the school at 717-566-2564.
