Middle School CAOLA

LDMS is pleased to offer online learning as an option for your student. There are various options for you to choose from.
 
They are:
Full-time online: all classes are completed online.
Combination Learners: with the majority of classes taken online and then supplementing with a few hands-on classes in the live classroom. 
Singleton: majority of classes taken in the live classroom and supplementing with one or two online courses. (please visit the Singleton Courses page for that separate application).
 
Your student will be challenged with the curriculum that is powered by the following online vendors; Edison Learning and Accelerate Education (see the overview videos below for more information).
 
 

The application process for the Lower Dauphin School District’s CAOLA online program is as follows:

Any student applying for full time or part time status MUST SUBMIT an application on or BEFORE the following dates:

To begin the 2025-2026 school year: August 11, 2025 

Marking Period 2: Applications received on or before October 15, 2025 = Start date October 30, 2025

Marking Period 3: Applications received on or before January 7, 2026 = Start date January 22, 2026

Marking Period 4: Applications received on or before March 17, 2026 = Start date March 31, 2026

Applications received AFTER the above dates will be processed for the next marking period.  For example, if an application is submitted on October 16, 2025 or later, it will be processed to start Marking Period 3 with a start date of January 22, 2026.

Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on an individual student basis to determine enrollment date.
