CAOLA Overview
A non-traditional option for the
non-traditional student.
Are you a few credits short from graduating? Do you have family or financial responsibilities that keep you from participating in a traditional school day? Do you need academic help with your CAOLA classes? This may be the program for you.
Lower Dauphin School District offers a non-traditional hour night school (Falcon Academy Online Night School) for students who cannot attend school during traditional school hours OR who need a face to face tutoring option. Certified teachers are on duty every night the Academy is in session. The teachers are on a rotating nightly basis; Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m; Saturday (time to be determined on an as needed basis) if necessary. The core content areas are represented as well as a special education teacher on staff (but is limited and not available every night). The sessions are held in the high school library. Sessions can also be attended virtually if transportation is an issue.
The Falcon Academy Online Night School also provides additional tutoring for full-time CAOLA students. It also serves as a placement for students who have applied to be in the full time CAOLA program but need additional supports to be successful due to their individual educational needs.
