Synopsis of Curriculum
The tenth-grade college preparatory course focuses on interpretive and analytical skills necessary for student success and progress. A challenging selection of both fiction and nonfiction texts will be utilized in order to prepare students. Emphasis will also be placed on vocabulary necessary for college and standardized test preparation. Review of grammar, spelling, and speaking skills will also be included in course units of study. Summer reading is required. Students must secure a reading list from the instructor or counseling office prior to the school year.
