Synopsis of Curriculum

This course is broader in scope than traditional geometry and designed for those students who have completed a year of algebra in the eighth or ninth grade. The course includes the following topics: deduction and proof, perpendicular lines and planes; parallel lines and planes; congruent triangles, similar polygons; circles, arcs, angles; constructions; coordinate geometry; areas and volumes of solid and plane figures, right triangle concepts. Students are required to have a scientific calculator for this course.
