Course Title: Decoding & Comprehension II

 Synopsis of Curriculum

This course is designed for students who have taken the Decoding/Comprehension I course and wish to further expand their decoding/word attack skills to include unknown multisyllabic words and syllabication patterns.  Students learn to apply active reading strategies to improve overall comprehension skills and vocabulary development.  Class size is limited.  Priority is given to students who read below grade level. Direct, explicit teacher-developed instruction is used.
