Registration Steps for School Year 24-25
Registering your Child for 2024-25 School Year
The school secretary or guidance department will be calling you to set up a face-to-face appointment at the school.
Step 1 - Assess Eligibility and Needs
New Students
Students who have never attended or are returning to LDSD school must be registered by their custodial parent (biological, adoptive, legal guardian).
Children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024, in order to enroll in kindergarten. Every child who is 6 years old by September 1, 2024, must be enrolled in a kindergarten program this fall.
Homeschool, Private School, & Cyber School students: We would like to enter your child in our database. Please call the district office to obtain more information on this step.
Step 2 - Find your School
You must reside within Lower Dauphin School District in order for your children to be enrolled here. Use this link to see if you reside within the district:
If you have elementary-aged children, Central Enrollment will tell you which school your students will attend, based on your address.

Food for Thought:
- We often have parents come into the schools to help with parties, events for the students or PTO functions. In order to do this, all parents must have current volunteer clearances. If you are interested in volunteering at the school, you might want to get started on obtaining your clearances. Click on the link to learn more: http://www.ldsd.org/volunteer
- Are you interested in the possibility of working for the school district? We frequently have positions available that are great for people who want to be on a school schedule. If you are interested, click here: www.ldsd.org/employment. Remember to check back often for updates on opportunities.
- Want to be a substitute aide and/or teacher? Visit STS to get started and let them know that you are interested in substituting at Lower Dauphin. You can be a substitute teacher with ANY bachelor's degree. https://www.thesubservice.com/substitutes
