I am excited to teach AP Environmental Science, Earth and Its Environment, and STEM courses. In addition, I coach various STEM teams.
I started my education at Shippensburg University earning a Bachelor's degree in Geo-Environmental Science. I continued to Penn State University where I earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. I earned National Board Certification in Adolescent/Young Adult Science in 2009. In 2013, I completed my Post-Masters Educational Administration Certification. I just earned my Ph.D. in Global STEM Education through Texas Tech University. Spending time collaborating with other teachers from around the world in Lubbock, TX has enriched me as a STEM educator.
I am a PA Certified Teacher in Elementary Education K-6, Early Childhood Education N-3, Earth and Space Science 7-12, Environmental Education K-12, and Principal K-12. In addition to my high school teaching, I have completed a one-year administrative internship, taught Kindergarten, and Middle School Science. I am also certified to teach in NC and SC.
Coaching STEM teams has been my passion for the last five years. Their latest achievement was 2nd place at the National Invention Convention. In addition, I love field courses and have taken graduate field courses at Yellowstone Basin Research Association, Grand Canyon National Park, Assateague Island, Acadia National Park, and New England. I am leading a Discovering STEM in Iceland field study in June 2020. Please click the link on the side for more information!
