Dear LDMS families, students and community;
I am honored to be the Assistant Principal at the Lower Dauphin Middle School. The 2019-2020 school year will mark my 8th year in the Lower Dauphin School District and my 14th year in education. In the last 7 years I have truly become a Falcon at heart and enjoy being a member of the LD School District. My first 6 years in education were spent in the Harrisburg School District teaching Emotional Support and Alternative Education across several different grade levels. For the first 6 years in Lower Dauphin I continued to work in the Emotional Support/Autistic Support setting as the District Itinerant ES teacher for all grade levels and then as the Emotional Support and Autistic Support teacher at Conewago Elementary. Last year I joined the MS as the Dean of Students and was fortunate to then move on as the new Assistant Principal.
The middle school years are some of the most crucial growing times for a young student, and I also believe that educating our students is a team effort. For these reasons I am excited to work with the administrative team, teachers, families, community and students to help them grow not only academically but socially and emotionally as well.
I look forward to being visible around the building to support the staff and students and work together to best provide an effective education while creating a culture of care and understanding that allows all students and staff to grow and succeed. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or need any support, as I truly believe that to best meet the needs of our students it will take a team effort including family, friends and community members working together.
With Much Appreciation,
Johnathon R. Breininger
