As a graduate of Lower Dauphin School District, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to return to my alma mater to teach. Currently, I am teaching AP Government and American History at Lower Dauphin High School. As a believer in student involvement in the school and community, I attempt to practice what I preach. I have served as an advisor for the Lower Dauphin Middle School's television station--FNN and was an advisor for three years for the Middle School Play. Currently, I am serving as a class council advisor and NHS advisor at the Sr. High and in the community I am an active member of the Hummelstown Area Historical Society, serving as the President since 2012.
After graduating from Lower Dauphin I attended Mansfield University to obtain my teaching degree. I received my degree in Secondary Education: Social Studies with a minor in Political Science. From there I taught Sr. High and coached two years prior to being hired at Lower Dauphin. For five years I served as a seventh and eighth grade Social Studies teacher at Lower Dauphin Middle School. During this time I completed a master of Library Science from Kutztown University. In 2018 I completed my Masters of Arts in Applied History from Shippensburg University.
