8th Grade American History
My name is Mr. Shaffer and I am looking forward to teaching you about our country's past. This will be my 26th year teaching at Lower Dauphin. I spent my first year teaching 1st Grade at South Hanover Elementary. Then, I moved to 5th Grade at South Hanover for three years before moving to the Middle School. This will be my 22nd year teaching 8th Grade American History. I graduated from York College and hold my Masters Degree as well. My wife teaches 2nd Grade at Nye Elementary. I have a stepson, Brady, who graduated from DeSales University and lives in Allentown. We also have three daughters. Alexa is a redshirt freshman at Michigan State playing field hockey there. Brynn is a freshman at Michigan State playing field hockey there as well. Finally, Kenzie is entering 9th grade here at LD and plays field hockey here at LD.
