A 7th grade course that focuses on living things and their interactions with the environment. Investigation of the various topics will help build a strong science foundation. The topics studied throughout the year include the Scientific Method, Cells, Genetics, Natural Selection, Classification, the Kingdoms of Life, and Ecology.
An 8th grade course that provides a review of the nature of science (scientific method, experimentation, and metrics and measurement) in addition to examining the basics of physics and chemistry. Topics include motion, forces, work and machines, and energy followed by matter, atomic structure and the periodic table, chemical bonding, and chemical reactions.
