    1. POWER SCHOOL is our district platform for grading.
         -You can access your child's grades by clicking on the word GRADES at the top of the district web page, www.ldsd.org.
         -If you have not received your username and password, please contact the middle school office @ 717.566.5300.
     
    2. CANVAS is our district platform for course content and assignments.
         -Students use CANVAS on a daily basis. They have a username and password.
         -The most important parts of CANVAS include the HOME PAGE, MODULES, and CALENDAR within each course.
         -Each course home page also contains a LINK to our 6th grade HOMEWORK GOOGLE DOC.
     
    3. Tutoring is known as Academic Academy here at the middle school.
         -It meets IN PERSON Wednesdays after school from 2:45 - 4:30 pm.
         -Transportation home is provided by the district @ 4:30 pm.
     
    4. 6th grade participates in several field trips throughout the year.
         -J.A. BizTown in York, PA for our culminating simulation about economics
         -DCTS (Dauphin County Technical School) in Harrisburg, PA to begin thinking about career options
         -Gifford Pinchot State Park in Lewisberry, PA for our annual science celebration 
     
         -Act 151 (Child Abuse History Clearance)
         -Act 34 (Criminal Background Check)
     
    6. Parent Conferences
         -Conferences are scheduled to discuss students who are struggling academically, socially or emotionally. 
         -Fall dates in November 
         -Spring datesin February
