SPEECH/LANGUAGE SUPPORT

  • Lisa Hahnlen, M.S. CCC-SLP, Speech/Language Pathologist

Hello!  Welcome to the Speech/Language website for Conewago Elementary School.  To find out how students are eligible for this program, keep reading!

Students are qualified through a formal process by a speech-language pathologist (SLP) to determine if they have a communication disorder.

If a student is found eligible for, and in need of, speech/language support, an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) will be developed. Students remain on the speech/language caseload until they are formally dismissed.  Every year, generally around the same time, the IEP is revised and updated.  If a child received support last year, it will automatically continue this school year until his/her need of the service changes.

If you are concerned about your child's communication skills, please contact Lisa Hahnlen.

Teachers can also request a screening.
