Can you believe it’s just about time for the start of the 2024-2025 school year? I hope you and your family have enjoyed every last minute of summer. Did anyone get to see the bike race in July or attend any of the Friday night events in the square? While we’ve been having fun all summer, we’ve also been working hard to prepare for the start of school on Tuesday, August 27th.
The start of school brings with it a fresh, new beginning for all. I love to see the kids’ smiles as they arrive for school on the first day. Our goal is to see those smiles each and every day of the school year. Learning is important to us, but having FUN while learning is even better!!
Nye is a special place. Having our location right in the middle of Hummelstown is one of my favorite aspects of Nye Elementary. We truly feel like part of the community and part of that charm is seeing so many parents at drop off and pick up and throughout the day. We hope as you walk through town you can hear the laughter from the playground and see the kids running around and playing with each other. Inside the classrooms, the kids are busy collaborating with each other, exploring new concepts and participating in learning activities. It is truly a caring and special place.
We are so happy to welcome everyone back! From all of us at Nye, we can’t wait to see everyone return to school for another great year!!
