East Hanover Township is located in the northeastern corner of the Lower Dauphin School District, bordering Lebanon County. As one of our more rural townships, the East Hanover Elementary School serves as the focal point for many community events.

East Hanover Township is Lower Dauphin's largest municipality and East Hanover Elementary School is one of the district's larger elementary schools, with about 380 students. The district's average elementary class size is 21 students.
