My family
Hello! Welcome to our first grade class! I am looking forward to the upcoming school year. This will be my 24th year at East Hanover. This is my 21th year teaching first grade. I am also a resident of East Hanover township. I grew up in Centre Hall, a small town outside of State College. My husband grew up on the farm we now live on. I have four children. My oldest son, Clint, is currently teaching 10th grade world cultures at the high school. My daughter-in-law, Kristen, is a 4th grade teacher at East Hanover. They have threechildr en. My granddaughter Chloe is in first grade this year and grandson Chase will be in kindergarten. Both of them are at East/ My oldest daughter, Janelle, graduated from Penn State with a degree in architecture. She is currently working for the Department of General Services for the state. She and her husband Mike had my newest granddaughter, Audrey, at the end of May. My youngest son, Timmy graduated from Lower Dauphin in 2011 and Kutztown University in 2017. He is employed as a substitiute teacher. My youngest daught graduated from Lower Dauphin in 2015 and Elizabethtown College in 2019. She is currently a long term substitute science teacher at Palmyra Middle School.
In first grade, we will learn about reading, writing, math, science and social studies.
We will make many new friends in a safe and caring environment.
By working together, I am sure we will provide your child with a positive first grade experience.
