Degrees and Certifications:
Meet Mrs. Fox
My name is Mrs. Fox. The 2019-2020 school year will be my 33rd year of teaching, so YES that makes me pretty old! Honestly though, I still love what I do. Over my career, I have taught all grades K through 6.
About 30 years ago, when I began teaching at LD as a kindergarten teacher, it took me about two weeks of teaching in this great town to realize that this is where I wanted my children to live and go to school. I moved here in 1996, and my kids attended Nye Elementary, LD Middle School, and graduated from Lower Dauphin High school.
I have two adult children. Dillan (28) and Caity (26). My daughter was married in 2017, and she and her husband bought a house in Hummelstown. My son in law, Blake, is a PE teacher in the Susquenita School District. My son is a professional hockey player who is currently playing for the Maine Mariners in the ECHL. (For hockey fans, that is the affiliate to the NY Rangers, and Danny Briere and Paul Holmgren run this team!) If you've never been to Portland, ME, I highly recommend it for a vacation spot. It is absolutely beautiful! My husband, Gary, is active in our community as a soccer coach, and a bulletin board maker and furniture builder for all my classroom needs.
There is no better place to live than Hummelstown, and definitely no better place to go to school than in Lower Dauphin! I am honored to teach in the LDSD, and I look forward to getting the 2019-2020 school year started!
