• Enrollment of Students

We are excited to welcome your student to Lower Dauphin School District! To make it as quick and simple as possible, we have listed the process below. Please read it carefully, as specific documents are required to complete enrollment.

    1. Enrollment is limited to residents of the District or families who will move into the District on or by December 1, 2022.
    2. A student may be enrolled by the legal parent or guardian.
    3. Your child must turn five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2022.
    4. Call Central Enrollment at (717)566-5360 to start the process. You will be asked your name, address, phone number, when you moved into the District, and details about your student. Then, you will be sent a link to complete the online portion of enrollment. Be prepared to spend about 15-20 minutes entering the requested information, per child. This includes information about doctors/dentists/emergency contacts. Have this information nearby and it will go much quicker. Once the online portion is submitted, you will receive a call from the secretary at the school building of your youngest student. They will schedule an Enrollment appointment with you for all students you are enrolling.
    5. At the Enrollment appointment, you will need to bring:
      1. Verification and Proof of Residence (must have your name and Lower Dauphin address on it)- This can be:
        1. an active Driver’s License
        2. current utility bill
        3. most recent Property Tax bill
        4. current credit card bill
        5. lease/mortgage paperwork
        6. vehicle registration, or
        7. currently active bank account check with name and address imprinted.
        8. If you do not have any of these, you may provide a notarized letter of residence which states the address, the initial date of occupancy and the names of all who live there.
      2. Proof of Child’s Age- This can be a birth certificate, passport, or Baptismal certificate. A card from the hospital with the child’s footprints is NOT acceptable.
      3. Immunization Record from the doctor’s office or Religious Exemption form.
    6. Additional documents requested, should you have them:
      1. Child’s report card(s)
      2. Custody Agreements or other court paperwork
      3. IEP/504 documentation
