• As the principal here at Londonderry Elementary School, it's my job to make sure every child gets the most out of his/her educational experience. But in all honesty, that's everyone's job!

Parents are critical in making sure the student comes to school ready to learn - that means a good night's sleep, a nutritious breakfast and a positive attitude.

Our staff obviously does the teaching but they also provide an environment in which students feel safe and empowered to make discoveries about themselves and the world around them. When your child is in our care, we have a legal role to act as a parent in your stead and that's a responsibility I know we all take very seriously.

I can't forget the students! They need to be here physically, emotionally and intellectually. Learning is a tough job and it's a huge responsibility.

As your school's principal, I recognize that we all need to work together - parents, teachers and students - to make sure that every child reaches his/her full potential.

I'm excited to help facilitate and guide this work for the benefit of our students.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me by calling the school office at 717-944-9462 or by emailing me at kringso@ldsd.org.

I look forward to meeting you and hearing from you as we undertake your child's educational journey together!

    With Falcon Pride,

    Kathryn 'Kim' Ringso
