    Dear Parents/ Guardians,

Welcome to Ms. Young’s 10th and 11th grade Science Webpage.  On the following webpage, you will find information pertaining to the classes I will be teaching here at Lower Dauphin High School.

My name is Samantha Young and I have the pleasure of working with your son or daughter for Biology this school year. Thank you for allowing me the wonderful opportunity to interact with and teach your student this year. I am delighted to have your student in class!

I am looking forward to an exciting year with many chances to learn, develop and sharpen skills in the science classroom. This year we will have many fun and challenging tasks to help us reach our goals; we are going to work hard, challenge ourselves, and have fun in the process. I have high expectations for all of my students and I am committed to equipping students with the tools needed to succeed in my classroom and beyond. As an educator, I am eager to use science to challenge my students and watch them grow throughout the year. Each student plays a vital role in my classroom and its progress.

In closing, I would like to express that one of the most important goals this year is to keep the lines of communication open between parents/guardians and myself. Positive and productive communication is paramount to your child’s success! If you notice your student struggling, encourage them to ask me questions either through email, Canvas, or in person before or after school.  Please feel free to browse the information posted on my webpage. If there is any information you need explained, cannot find, just need more information, or if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, feel free to contact me and I will respond as promptly as possible.

    Sincerely,

    Samantha Young
