• A mission statement can be used for companies, organizations, or individuals. It is a statement that explains the purpose or goal of a business or organization.  Lower Dauphin administrators, school board, and teachers created our mission statement in November, 2012 during a reevaluation of our comprehensive plan.  When creating our mission statement we focused on the long-term goals and aspirations we had for our students.  We wanted to clearly communicate that each student is an appreciated individual who deserves an education that meets their own needs and interests and allows them to participate in both small and large communities.

The mission of the ditrict is to provide students with a safe and supportive environment enabling them to engage in a quality education that empowers them to be successful in their next step in life.

Customized Educational Experience- Every student has the opportunity to choose the classes that work best for them and their goals.

Self-Sufficient- being independent/needing no outside help

Contributing Members- those who give back to society

Global Community-the people or nations of the world, considered as being closely connected by modern technology and as being economically, socially, and politically interdependent.

On September 19th, 2018 the Lower Dauphin High School faculty reviewed the school’s mission statement with their students and asked each student to create a mission statement for themselves for the 2018 to 2019 school year.  Our students put much thought and effort into their statements and we decided to share some of these with the community.

“My mission for the 2018-2019 school year is to inspire others, succeed in life both in and out of school, and keep a sound mind and level head.”

“My mission statement for the 2018-2019 school year is to earn good grades and become a better trumpet player.”

“My mission for the 2018-2019 school year is to improve my time management skills and earn good grades.”

“My mission for the 2018-2019 school year is to get my GPA up, find out what my passion in life is, and figure out what I’d like to do when I grow up.”

“My mission for the 2018 to 2019 school year is to be respectful to everyone and show everyone the love they deserve.”
