Welcome to Kindergarten at South Hanover!
I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Taylor Atherton. I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Clarion University. This will be my fourth year teaching. My first few years teaching were spent in Learning Support where I taught grades kindergarten through eighth. I have experienced many different grades, but kindergarten is absolutely the most magical year! I feel privileged that I get to be a part of this year for my students.
Be assured that I will do my best to make this school year an enjoyable time for your child, but also a time filled with real learning. Please do not think your child will be just "playing" all day! The skills we practice daily in kindergarten are the building blocks for your child's future success in school and in life!
