Professional Staff 

All professional staff positions are considered full-time positions unless designated. The position(s) offers family medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits. Full-time professional staff are also offered individual life insurance and paid time off. Interested candidates should be prepared to submit the following: letter of interest, resume, three (3) professional reference letters, letters of recommendation, and any transcripts.

  • Substitute Teachers - We have partnered with Substitute Teacher Service (STS) for our substitute teachers. To become a substitute teacher, you will need to meet the requirements outlined by the Pa Department of Education.  Please visit the STS website to apply today to become a substitute for Lower Dauphin. Already an STS employee? Contact STS Human Resources at (800) 357-7827 and ask for Lower Dauphin School District to be added to your district list.

 

  • Substitute Nurses - Lower Dauphin School District is accepting applications for Substitute Nurses (LPN, RN or School Nurse certification required.) PA Criminal Background Check (Act 34), Federal Criminal History Check (Act 114), and PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151) are required. Please contact Denise Erickson in Human Resources for more information.

   


Classified Staff

  • Substitute Custodians - Lower Dauphin is accepting applications for substitute custodians.  Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, resume and three (3) professional references to Denise Erickson in Human Resources.
     
  • Substitute Paraeducator and Aides - We have partnered with Substitute Teacher Service (STS) for our substitute paraeducator and aide positions. Please visit the STS website to apply today to become a substitute paraeducator or aide for Lower Dauphin.  
     
  • Para Professional Positions - $16.49 per hour
    • Up to 180 days per year. Hours per day vary based on location/position
    • All Full Time Positions include Sick Time
    • All Full Time Positions include the following individual Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription and Life Insurance.
  • Crossing Guard: Lower Dauphin School District is accepting applications for a part-time Crossing Guard Position. The position is part-time, 4 hours per school day (7am–9am & 2pm–4pm).  Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, resume, and three (3) professional references to Denise Erickson in Human Resources. The position will remain open until the position is filled.  

Contracted Services

Interested in helping serve our students and community? Lower Dauphin School District has contracted agreements for our bus and cafeteria services. They have great part-time and full-time positions available. Please contact them directly for more information!

ALL positions will require background checks dated within one (1) year if offered employment provided by the employee. Background checks required include:

  • PA Criminal Background Check (Act 34) $22.00
  • Federal Criminal History Check (Act 114) $23.85
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151) $13.00

In addition, the PA Sexual Misconduct & Abuse Disclosure Release Form (Act 168) must be completed at the time of application for every employer you have worked for since the age of 16 in which you have had direct contact with children.

The Mandated Reporter Training certificate (Act 126) can be completed online.

  • To register for the free training online, go to the Pennsylvania Child Resource Center website and complete the New User Registration Information. Please select “No” when asked if you are licensed or applying for a license through the following boards. After submitting your information, the Pennsylvania Child Resource Center will send you an email with your Username and Password.
  • Complete the training online.
  • Please follow the directions listed below:
    • Type in your username and password
    • Click “Login”
    • Click on the hyperlink under the “Your Courses Section”
    • rrca-0299: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse
    • Click on the Click Here button
    • Follow the directions to complete the course.
    • Print your certificate of completion
    • Provide a copy of the certificate to the Human Resource Department
  • The online training takes approximately three (3) hours to complete. It should be noted that individuals do not need to complete the training during one single period of time - the system is designed to allow you the option of competing the training over multiple periods of time.
