Assistant to the Superintendent - Elementary
Since August 2015, I have had the privilege of serving as the Assistant to the Superintendent - Elementary for the Lower Dauphin School District. In my role, I have the opportunity to work directly with the students, staff and administrators in all five of the district's elementary buildings. The key focus of my position is curriculum, assessment and instruction at the elementary level. I also oversee homeschooling, gifted instruction and federal programs.
Prior to my current position, I served within the district as the building principal at Nye Elementary School for 11 years. Before I joined the district, I was an elementary building principal and assistant middle school principal in the Susquehanna Township School District. I began my career as a fifth grade teacher.
I received my BS in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University, my M.Ed in Educational Leadership from the University of Virginia and my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Drexel University.
