LOWER DAUPHIN SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH UPDATE 6/18/2025
The search for the next superintendent of the Lower Dauphin School District is progressing, but a change has been made to the final round of the interview schedule.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the second round of interviews, originally scheduled for Thursday, June 19—has been rescheduled for Monday, June 30.
Three finalists, selected from an initial pool of 18 applicants, will move forward to this final stage. As part of the process, candidates will meet with the district’s administrative cabinet and take part in a series of interviews with teachers and principals.
The district remains focused on identifying a candidate who reflects Lower Dauphin’s commitment to academic excellence and strong community partnerships. There is currently no timetable for a new superintendent to be selected, but the school board plans to wrap up the search soon after the final interviews. Further updates will be shared as the process moves forward.
LOWER DAUPHIN SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH UPDATE 6/10/2025
The search for the next superintendent of the Lower Dauphin School District continues for the successor to Dr. Robert Gildea. First-round interviews begin tonight, with seven candidates being considered for the district’s top leadership role.
The district initially received 18 applications for the position and worked in partnership with the Keystone Superintendent Search Service to review and evaluate the applicants. After careful consideration, the list was narrowed to seven individuals who will participate in first-round interviews held today and Thursday.
From that group, approximately three finalists will be selected to advance to the second round of the process. The second round is scheduled for June 19 and will include a meet-and-greet session with the district's administrative cabinet, as well as additional interview components.
The school board is aiming to identify a leader who will continue to support the district’s academic goals and community values.
