One-to-One Handbook

Lower Dauphin School District’s One-to-One computer initiative integrates technology in daily instructional practices to:

  • Promote student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Make resources for learning available both in and outside of school.
  • Expand self-paced student learning opportunities.
  • Use collaborative platforms and strategies to share ideas and to learn.
  • Provide students access to information, along with the opportunity to connect it to curriculum in a meaningful manner.
  • Engage students in authentic real-world activities and projects.
  • Encourage collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Nurture a sense of responsibility and digital citizenship.
  • Prepare students for success after graduation.

The One-to-One Handbook is updated on a yearly basis to ensure that everyone is aware of the responsibilities and uses of their assigned student laptop.
