One-to-One Handbook
Lower Dauphin School District’s One-to-One computer initiative integrates technology in daily instructional practices to:
- Promote student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
- Make resources for learning available both in and outside of school.
- Expand self-paced student learning opportunities.
- Use collaborative platforms and strategies to share ideas and to learn.
- Provide students access to information, along with the opportunity to connect it to curriculum in a meaningful manner.
- Engage students in authentic real-world activities and projects.
- Encourage collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Nurture a sense of responsibility and digital citizenship.
- Prepare students for success after graduation.
The One-to-One Handbook is updated on a yearly basis to ensure that everyone is aware of the responsibilities and uses of their assigned student laptop.
