Superintendent's Message About School Closures

March 30, 2020

Dear Lower Dauphin Families,

This afternoon, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf extended the closure of Pennsylvania schools indefinitely. This means that schools will be closed until we are ordered to reopen.

As a dstrict, we have been moving forward with a plan for providing Continuity of Education for our students. Today, we distributed over 200 laptops to our elementary students. Additionally, our teachers began providing Enrichment and Review activities to their students. On Monday, April 6, 2020, we will begin providing Planned Instruction (new instructional content) in each course.

For a more comprehensive explanation of our Continuity of Education Plan please click on the following link.

As always, we greatly appreciate your support and we look forward to continuing to educate our students as we move forward together in this challenging time. Please take care and stay safe.

Robert K. Schultz, Ed.D.

Lower Dauphin School District, Superintendent
